Done deal:After a four-year hiatus, former Magpie star player will rejoin Collingwood’s VFL team in 2024 to make his nest comeback

Former Magpie returns to the nest for 2024 season

The journeyman is set to wear black and white again in 2024.

After a four-year hiatus, former Magpie Ben Crocker will rejoin Collingwood’s VFL team in 2024 to make his nest comeback.

After being chosen with the 65th pick in the 2015 AFL Draft, Crocker started his career with the Pies.

The Oakleigh Chargers product, however, was delisted at the end of 2019 after 26 games and 21 goals in black and white bars. He eventually found success with the Adelaide Crows for the COVID-shortened 2020 season.

In his one and only season with Adelaide, Crocker—a hybrid midfield-forward option—would don the tricolors seven times and score four more goals before being dropped at the end of the campaign.

The 26-year-old has been playing for Carlton’s VFL squad since 2021, scoring

84 goals in 45 games while wearing a Navy Blue jersey.

On Thursday morning, the Pies generated buzz when they uploaded a

photo of Crocker’s prominently inked right bicep on X (the previous Twitter account).
