Done deal:Brighton has acquired the signing of an incredible talented star player

Brighton sign Valentin Barco from Boca Juniors

London, January 21 (IANS)—Brighton & Hove Albion, a Premier League team, said today that Valentin Barco, an Argentine Under-21 standout from Boca Juniors, has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract that runs through June 2028.

The 19-year-old, who came through the system and assisted the team in winning the Copa Libertadores last year, comes with 35 first team outings under his belt from Boca.

Valentin is currently on international service at the CONMEBOL qualifiers ahead of this summer’s Olympic Games in Paris. Valentin has represented Argentina up to the under-23 level, for which he made his debut in December.

“We’re happy to have him join the team, and we’re excited to watch his growth and development under Roberto. He has mostly operated as a left full-back, wing-back, or winger, although he has also displayed his versatility by playing all midfield positions for Boca. Brighton technical director David Weir stated, “He is an exciting prospect, but it’s also important we give him the time as he needs to settle and adapt to new surroundings and the Premier League.”
