Following a string of disappointing performances, a journalist has angrily accused Sunderland’s head coach, saying

Michael Beale accused of ‘draining’ the life out of Sunderland in scathing verdict

After just seven games in charge, Michael Beale has come under fire for allegedly “draining” Sunderland.

When Michael Beale, 43, took over for Tony Mowbray, a fan favorite, last month, it’s safe to assume that the news wasn’t much welcomed.

Rangers supporters had told Sunderland that Beale was more of a good talker than a competent manager.

Though the Wearside supporters gave him a chance, Coventry City “rewarded” him with a 3-0 thrashing in his debut game.

Since then, Sunderland has dropped four of their last seven games, and each week, their play appears to be getting more worse.

After just one month, there have already been many calls for Beale’s dismissal from Sunderland, and reporter Michael Graham has stated the former QPR coach is “draining” a team that was once “full of energy.”

Graham said, “Normally when a club appoints a new coach, they’re taking over a very bad team that fans don’t enjoy to watch, but Michael Beale’s biggest issue is that he’s taking over a team that fans loved to watch and he’s immediately turned them into a bad team.” Graham was speaking to Ally McCoist on talkSPORT, as reported by the Daily Record.

“Tony Mowbray’s supporters never turned against him, then Beale entered

and made matters worse. I wish I could identify it with precision. This is in Sunderland.fantastic young team with

young players of great quality who are incredibly vibrant, full of life, and quick

to drain. They are not playing with enthusiasm, energy, or conviction.

They were once such a strong squad when they broke, but now they struggle

to make every pass go sideways or back. I just have one word to describe it:

exhausting. We haven’t been producing under Michael Beale, and even in the

games that Sunderland has won, the supporters haven’t taken pleasure in the

football. However, earlier on, we were content with what we were witnessing

even though we were losing. In the worst way possible, he’s utterly reversed it.

“It’s not like the fans haven’t given Beale time. The fans have been willing to

believe and let him have a go but there’s this draining effect that he’s had on the

team and the fans and I don’t know how he’s done it.”

Can Sunderland come back from this?

There is no better way to describe it than Michael Beale has just drained all the life out of this squad.

We were without a doubt one of the Championship’s most thrilling teams the previous year. We have an abundance of youthful, energetic players who were eager to sprint towards opponents, make a move, and advance.

Ross Stewart was absent for a significant portion of the campaign, yet we managed to win thanks to our unwavering talent and hard effort. Once, fans would eagerly await our performances; that is no longer the case.

Michael Beale’s team is currently playing some of the poorest football we have ever seen at the Stadium of Light, in addition to his team’s inability to produce results.

The players appear to be at a loss for ideas, and it appears that he has eliminated any remaining courage, tenacity, or skill that they may have possessed half a year prior.

Sunderland needs to get rid of him before he causes irreversible harm because it will only grow worse.
