Nottingham Forest reach ‘total verbal agreement’ with player – Pushing to get deal done

Winter market reporter Florian Plettenberg of Sky Deutschland reports that Nottingham Forest is still pursuing Giovanni Reyna of Borussia Dortmund.

said that the Tricky Trees and the winger have a “total verbal agreement” on X, the platform that was formerly known as Twitter.

Nuno Espírito Santo, the manager of Nottingham Forest, is represented by Jorge Mendes, who is also the 21-year-old’s new agent. The parties’ positive rapport will have aided in coming to a verbal agreement.

The Premier League team must now reach an agreement with BVB in order to sign the American on loan.

Plettenberg says the two clubs are in talks, but there’s no agreement yet. He adds Nuno Espírito Santo’s side are keen to include an option to buy.

Reyna has clocked in 337 minutes from 13 games this season and that includes only one league start. Jadon Sancho’s arrival at the Bundesliga side earlier this month will further reduce his chances of featuring regularly.

The journalist says the attacker, whose deal lasts until 2025, is ‘keen to leave’ the German club and Nottingham Forest are pushing to secure his services in the next few days.
