Can he save his job,Roy Hodgson has been given one condition to save his Crystal Palace job

Roy Hodgson has one game to save his Crystal Palace job

Even though Roy Hodgson is 76 years old, he is by no means a “dinosaur” in football.

The Crystal Palace manager enjoys immense respect in the industry, in part because of how long he has managed at the highest level.

But after owner Steve Parish told him he had one more game to save his job, it looks like time is now catching up with the former England manager, according to The Guardian (subscription needed).

The latest game, a devastating 5-0 loss to Arsenal, appears to have been the straw that broke the camel’s back.

Hodgson returned to the team for the first time because Patrick Vieira had

been out of the Premier League for nearly three months and the Eagles were

dangerously close to finishing in the bottom three.

Talk of relegation quickly subsided after a string of outstanding performances

and outcomes, but now Hodgson finds himself in the exact same situation as his predecessor.

Palace is only five points out of the bottom three after plunging to 15th place in the standings.

Their next game is against Sheffield United, who are still at the bottom but

are improving, and if they don’t get all three points, Parish will probably be handed the axe.
