This is good news to Sunderland as Man Utd’s stance on Amad Diallo remains clear despite transfer breakdown

Man Utd’s stance on Amad Diallo remains clear despite transfer breakdown and Sunderland interest

The latest on Amad Diallo’s transfer situation at Manchester United amid interest from Sunderland.

Notwithstanding the collapse of Facundo Pellistri’s loan move during the January transfer window, Manchester United’s stance on Amad Diallo transfers remains unambiguous.

Last season, Amad had a successful loan stay in the Championship with Sunderland, helping Tony Mowbray’s team reach the play-offs. The player’s knee injury made things more difficult for the Black Cats last summer, despite their desire for him to return

After Amad’s recovery from his injury from last summer, the Black Cats, Leeds

United, Middlesbrough, and Leicester City were reported to have expressed

interest in the attacker this January. Nevertheless, after reportedly paying

Italian team Atalanta £19 million, which might increase to £37 million in 2020, for

the player, United intends to retain Amad this month.

Though there had been some conjecture, if Pellistiri stays at Old Trafford, United winger Amad might be able to leave in January as a result of the loan move’s delay. However, reports from Manchester assert that the Manchester club’s position on transfers has not altered.

According to the Manchester Evening News, “Granada is showing interest in singer Facundo Pellistri, but his future is still up in the air.” Although other teams are also interested in the Uruguayan winger, the deal has been characterized as being in the balance.

“United intend to keep fellow right-sided forward Amad, who returned from a

five-month injury lay-off against Nottingham Forest on December 30.”

Amad was sick and missed Manchester United’s 2-0 FA Cup victory against Wigan as well as their 2-2 Premier League draw against Tottenham after coming off the bench against Nottingham Forest at the end of December.
