Unbelievable:Insider indicates a coach is angry at Falcons after he was snubbed

Insider indicates Bill Belichick is furious Falcons snubbed him

Bill Belichick was probably as shocked as the rest of us to learn that Raheem

Morris would be the next head coach of the Atlanta Falcons.

Even before Arthur Smith formally left the New England Patriots, Atlanta was the clear favorite to replace him.

However, during the past several weeks, events have occurred that have caused

the Falcons to change their minds and select the 47-year-old Morris.

Greg Bedard of the Boston Sports Journal says that Belichick is enraged over being passed over for a coach who has 408

fewer games of head coaching experience than he does, despite the fact

that Belichick will never openly express his thoughts about the situation.

As said by Bedard to NBC Sports Boston, “I think he’s p-ssed.” “I believe he is quite agitated over this. I believe he had this

position. If Bill Belichick gets a new job, I sincerely hope it’s in the NFC South

because I want to watch what he does to the Falcons every time he plays them.

Bedard argued that Belichick’s flawless and cordial departure from the Patriots

was a result of his belief that the Falcons were his to lose. According to Bedard, if

that hadn’t been the case, the situation might have continued much longer.

“Even before he left the Patriots, I believe Belichick believed he had a great chance at this position,” Bedard continued. “..It’s

possible that Bill believed he had the Falcons in his rear pocket. Arthur Blank,

the owner of the Falcons, is one of these men that listens to everyone, so I know

he wanted to hire Bill early on in the process, but it got away from him.

With just the Seattle Seahawks and Washington Commanders remaining as

open head coaches, it seems likely that Belichick will take a leave of absence in

2024 before taking up the position again in 2025.
