Done deal:New York jets has completed the signing of an incredible coach

Jets Have Hired A New Running Backs Coach

The 2023 NFL season was horrific for the New York Jets, who lost Aaron Rodgers to an Achilles injury in Week 1 and watched as the team collapsed from there.

For the most part of the season, fans had to put up with subpar quarterback performance; but, the Jets are turning things around with almost the same squad and coaches.

Although Rodgers’ injury ended New York’s season on a negative note, there were a few positive aspects.

The most significant was the reappearance of Breece Hall, who appeared normal after recovering from an ACL tear for the previous year.

In spite of a subpar offensive line and subpar quarterbacks, Hall amassed 223 carries for nearly 1,000 yards of rushes.

The running back room and Hall should play a significant part in the offense next season, and according to CBS’s Jonathan Jones, New York is adding a new leader to the group.

According to a source, Tony Dews will be the Jets’ next running backs coach. During the previous six years with the Titans, he tutored the running backs and tight ends, according to Jones.

Tony Dews will try to bring his wealth of running back coaching experience from his time with the Tennessee Titans to the Jets.

Dews can use a true three-down back since Hall has a unique skill in the backfield.

Dews, however, is only one component of the jigsaw; the Jets still need to put in a lot of work to recover from 2023 and fulfill their commitment to play in the AFC.
