Leeds United transfer rumours with full-back deal now in balance after Premier League interest

All the latest Leeds United transfer news ahead of Thursday’s deadline day

Here are the latest Leeds United transfer news and rumours.

Daiki Hashioka blow

Leeds United could be thwarted in their move to sign Daiki Hashioka, with Luton

Town now in the driving seat when it comes to his future. The Japan

international was left out of Sint-Truiden’s squad to face Genk, with

reports in Belgium that he was close to agreeing a deal to come to Elland Road.

But, it appears that he is moving to the Premier League with Luton, therefore

Leeds will have to find another player before this Thursday’s transfer deadline.

Due to Djed Spence and Luke Ayling’s departures from the team this month,

the Whites have been heavily connected to full-back movements; nevertheless,

they have not been able to bolster their roster.

Hjelde could move

Leo Hjelde of Leeds United is reportedly open to a move from Sunderland. Alan Nixon of The Sun reports that the Black

Cats are planning a late-transaction move for the defender, who has found it

difficult to establish himself in Daniel Farke’s first squad.

The Black Cats’ chances of making the playoffs could be enhanced by the

Norwegian, who could provide cover across the back line. With the addition of Sam Byram and Joe Rodon, he has fallen

down the hierarchy and has only made three appearances under Farke.
