Ryan Giles saga to reach conclusion today with medical booked elsewhere for Leeds United target – Report

Ryan Giles, a left-back for Luton Town, will not be joining Leeds United this

week as he is scheduled to get a medical this afternoon before joining Hull City.

Full-back is where Leeds need to add to their squad in the coming days, having not managed to seal any incoming signings thus far.

Due to frequent injury setbacks, left-backs have been a notorious pain at

Elland Road; hence, Daniel Farke would greatly benefit from a signing on that side.

Ryan Giles race over – Hull City to sign left-back

In the second half of January, Leeds was heavily connected to a deal to sign Luton Town left-back Ryan Giles; however, Hull City, another team hoping to make the playoffs, was also in the running.

Additionally, the Tigers have won the race for Giles, having already signed

Fabio Carvalho after promising the Liverpool young player playing time.

According to Football Insider, the 23-year-old will have a medical today in

order to move to MKM Stadium on a temporary loan.

Fee revealed for Giles obligation to buy

Terms of the loan deal at Hull mean that Liam Rosenior’s side are not only signing him for the rest of the season, but are making the deal permanent at the end of the campaign.

A £4.25million obligation clause is included in the contract, seeing the

Hatters make a slight loss on the £5million they spent to sign Giles from Wolves in the summer window.

Credit to Hull’s ambition this month, Leeds need to get going

On the surface, Leeds may have been discouraged by the need to invest £4.25 million because they knew that if they were promoted, they would probably need to replace him, much like Luton had.

For Hull, though, if the trade goes through, Giles will be a fantastic addition as of right now.

The Tigers have put in a lot of effort this month to support their promotion bid, and Leeds needs to start playing more faster than we are right now.
