The transfer deadline is drawing near, and Leeds United needs to start looking
at other options. The team is still in talks to acquire Everton defender Ben Godfrey.
Godfrey, 26, would be an incredible addition. It is beyond question. His skill
level is far too high for the Championship as an England
international. A player capable of covering center back and right back at Elland Road.
However, it is considered an ambitious move; LeedsUnited.News’ Graeme Bailey said it would be difficult to carry out.
Regarding a move for him, Leeds and Everton have not yet reached a consensus at the negotiating table.
The deadline is this Thursday at 11 p.m., so Leeds can’t just hope to acquire Godfrey. If we are unable to sign a
player, we must have backup plans, and the free agent market should be taken into account.
Greek defender Konstantinos Manolas is one player who is without a permanent residence. a well-known player who
famously scored Roma’s Champions League victory over Barcelona late in the game.
After losing United Arab Emirates team Sharjah a fortnight ago, he is a free agent, and Manolas is attracting interest.
The 32-year-old offered to play again for Roma, this time at center back alongside Diego Llorente.
TMW reports as much, but Forza Roma claims he has offers on the table from Salernitana and Porto. However, the
defender hasn’t decided yet. Like Godfrey, he can play center back or right back.
A little bit ambitious, but Leeds needs to put him on the shortlist and think about
making a move if they can’t get Godfrey signed by the deadline. Free agents can, of course, be signed outside of a window.
