Painful Exist : 49ers has anounce the sudden passing away of their first-round draft pick

A Legend of the great game and 49ers first-round draft pick has kicked the Bucket

Terry Beasley, a first-round pick of the San Francisco 49ers and former star receiver for the Auburn Tigers, passed away.

He was seventy-three. There was no stated cause of death.

Auburn wrote, “We’ve lost one of our all-time greats,” alongside a photo of Beasley

on X, the former Twitter platform. Three Tigers have had their jerseys retired, mine included.

Between 1969 and 1971, Beasley spent three seasons as an Auburn player,

catching 141 passes for 2,507 yards and 29 touchdowns. He caught 55 passes for 846 yards and 12 touchdowns in 1971,

one of his best seasons, which helped his quarterback, Pat Sullivan, win the Heisman Trophy.

After being named to the 1970 All-America second team, he was selected unanimously for the All-America team

that season. In addition, he was selected to the All-SEC team twice and was selected to the second team in 1969.

The 5-foot-11, 186-pound player was a member of the 49ers for three seasons

before being sidelined by injuries. With 38 receptions, he gained 570 yards and three touchdowns.
