West Ham in a shock move to sign Leeds first team player on deadline day

Although Willy Gnonto is anticipated to sign a new contract with Leeds United in due course, the Italy international may

become a late target for West Ham United today as deadline day approaches.

Gnonto, 20, has had a difficult season. Just one goal in 24 games following the winger’s attempt to force his way out of

Elland Road back in August, when he refused to participate in three games. But now he might make a new contract.

A deal is getting closer, according to Fabrizio Romano, and it might be revealed in the coming hours or days. It

follows after Gnonto was connected to new Italian teams, Fulham, and West Ham, among others.

However, it seems from the most recent reports that Gnonto was here to stay. Nothing, though, has been declared or

verified. Dean Jones now says that on the last day of the window, West Ham might turn to Gnonto.

Jota of Al-Ittihad and Ibrahim Osman, a winger for FC Nordsjaelland, are both targets for West Ham, but as the deadline

approaches, those transactions are getting harder to complete. Plan C for them is Gnonto.

Osman and Jota’s deals have fallen through. This week has been very frustrating. They initially believed that

both players would sign. They now have to think about the possibility of signing no one at all.

They say they don’t want to get scared. unwilling to face a player who isn’t already on their radar. Gnonto is an

example of a situation that would be appealing, but things haven’t moved forward yet, he told GMS

Gnonto is a very talented person, and in the end, he needs a stage to perform on. He is currently not getting that at Leeds.

Leeds, however, believes in him because of his performance in the Premier League the previous season.

Should Gnonto feel the need to leave, a move to West Ham would be incredible.

However, it’s likely that Gnonto will sign a new contract, and in the summer, a move will likely be reexamined
