On Saturday afternoon, Jarrad Branthwaite’s late header equalizer
against Spurs gave Everton a dramatic point. The game was fiercely contested at
Goodison Park. The visitors controlled the majority of the game and took the lead thanks to a superb double from
Richarlison, but Sean Dyche’s team rallied to win what could prove to be a crucial point in the season’s final stretch.
After a tense Premier League lunchtime matchup with Tottenham, Everton
managed to salvage a draw at Goodison Park in injury time.
Time was running out, so Jarrad Branthwaite took a close shot to tie the
score in a game they had mostly outplayed.
Richarlison scored two incredible goals in the first half, twice biting the hand that used to feed him.
The first was a volley from a cross by Destiny Udogie, and James Maddison’s
excellent work resulted in the second goal, which was placed high into the net from the area’s edge.
Two more Everton set-piece goals preceded those two. In a close-range
scramble, Jack Harrison provided the finishing touch, demonstrating the effectiveness of their relentless corner pressure
With the point, Tottenham moves up to fourth place, two points behind Arsenal
and Liverpool, and Everton escapes the relegation zone on goal differential
