Enzo Maresca is very angry and disappointed by Leicester city Transfer policy and threatens to

Leicester City are currently leading the Championship by 11 points, with Southampton in second place. However,

the Foxes failed to strengthen their squad during the January transfer window.

Head coach Enzo Maresca was dealt a major blow when Premier League strugglers Chelsea announced that

loanee Cesare Casadei would be recalled from the King Power Stadium. The Italian midfielder played an important

role for Maresca, appearing in 25 games across all competitions and contributing five goals

Nonetheless, Leicester City were looking for a replacement for the 21-year-old during the winter transfer window, and they were hoping to sign Internazionale’s

out-of-favour EURO 2021 winner Stefano Sensi, whose contract expires at the end of the current season. According to Calciomercato, the deal appeared to be

signed, sealed, and delivered, with the Serie A giants willing to sell the midfielder for just £2.5 million.

However, there was a twist in the story. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, via Sempre Inter, the Nerazzurri wanted to

postpone the sale as long as possible due to suspensions for Nicolo Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu.

In the end, no deal was made, and the 28-year-old will remain at the San Siro until

the summer, when he may be able to leave for free after his current contract expires.

Tuttsport, via Sport Witness, has now revealed that Sensi never completed a

move to Leicester City, as the former Premier League champions annoyed last

season’s Champions League finalists by attempting to negotiate a lower fee at the last minute.

The deal was agreed to be an upfront payment of £500,000 for the Italy

international, with Inter receiving an additional £2 million if the Foxes were

promoted back to the English top flight, but the club attempted to change the terms late in the window

Furthermore, Tuttsport claims that both Sensi and Leicester manager Maresca

were “disappointed” by the transfer’s collapse.
