One trip to Devon during the football season is enough for anyone. It’s a beautiful place, but it’s also a long distance to travel, and the 650-mile

round-trip is not something you want to do too frequently. As it turns out, Leeds must do it twice in less than two weeks.

After failing to beat Plymouth Argyle at Elland Road, the Whites and their devoted fans will be on the road for the

longest away day yet, as league matters take precedence over an FA Cup fourth-round replay.

If you’re going to go all the way, you’re not going to take the game lightly, and manager Daniel Farke has hinted that he

won’t make many changes for this evening’s game, with his options already limited by injury and absenteeism.

The Leeds manager is a big fan of the cup and is determined to win it, which will

be reflected in the team he selects. “It is a different type of pressure, but pressure that we enjoy,” Farke said.

Nobody expects us to win the FA Cup; as a Championship team, winning the FA

Cup is not realistic, but who knows. We have a chance to join the group of the last 16 teams.”

The Leeds manager will be without Pascal Struijk (adductor) and Dan James (groin), who are both still out, as well as

Stuart Dallas and Karl Darlow, who have been absent for some time. Jamie Shackleton has been struggling with illness this week so is expected to sit out,

while new signing Connor Roberts is cup-tied and cannot play because he wasn’t registered for the first game, but will travel with the squad.

Leeds United’s squad for Plymouth Argyle: Meslier, Klaesson, Van den Heuvel, Gray, Rodon, Byram, Firpo,

Cooper, Cresswell, Ampadu, Kamara, Gruev, Gnonto, Summerville, Anthony, Piroe, Rutter, Bamford, Gelhardt, Joseph.
