Reasons Why Browns hired 4 new coaches and a pass Game Specialist

The Cleveland Browns coaching staff is officially taking shape under head coach Kevin Stefanski. While GM Andrew Berry

refused to discuss or confirm the departures of several coaches when he spoke with the media in January,

multiple reports confirmed that Alex Van Pelt, Stump Mitchell, and TC McCartney were let go.

There were also reports of additions to Stefanski’s team:

Coaches: Ken Dorsey as offensive coordinator, Duce Staley as running

backs coach, Tommy Rees (pictured above) as tight ends coach, and Jacques Cesaire as defensive line coach

The Browns held a press conference on Monday during Super Bowl week after

announcing all four hires. During that time, Stefanski and Dorsey spoke, but neither said who would call the plays.

The team’s official announcement about Rees’ hiring mentions that he is also a pass game specialist. In addition to

coaching wide receivers, Chad O’Shea is listed as Cleveland’s pass game coordinator
