Unbelievable:Chris Sutton predicts result of Everton showdown v Manchester City

Chris Sutton predicts result of Everton showdown v Manchester City for BBC Sport

According to Chris Sutton, Everton’s winless streak in the Premier League will reach seven games when they play Manchester City on Saturday, February 10.

The BBC Sport analyst predicts that Pep Guardiola’s City team will win 3-0 and that Sean Dyche’s team will leave the Etihad Stadium empty-handed, unable to improve on their most recent 2-2 draw with Tottenham.

Sutton thinks Manchester City, the Premier League winners, will easily defeat the Toffees on Saturday and maintain a rare clean sheet, as they have won their past nine games across all competitions.

He stated, “Manchester City are going to take some stopping now, but they do need Erling Haaland to find his shooting boots,” in his Premier League predictions for BBC Sport on February 8. But it’s just a matter of time until everything starts to make sense to him again.

“We are aware of Everton’s strategy, which is to attempt to hold on, counterattack, and pose a threat from set pieces, just like they did against Tottenham the previous week.

“It seems like City concedes goals every week—they haven’t had a clean sheet in the league since the end of September—because Kyle Walker is on my Fantasy Football team. However, I believe things will be different on On Saturday, City ought to triumph handily.

“Everton needs to gain some points quickly as they are still in the bottom three, but their chances of doing so against Crystal Palace, Brighton, and West Ham are much higher than they are in this game.”

Manchester City a write-off in Everton relegation battle

It is imperative that Everton commences winning games as quickly as possible; but, as Sutton pointed out, Premier League teams are not typically sustained by victories over Manchester City.

The teams who surround Dyche’s team at the bottom of the table are the ones who will eventually determine the outcome of the season, so if they want to avoid dropping into the Championship, they must start winning those matches.

Losing this Saturday’s game would not be fatal to the Toffees’ chances of surviving in the Premier League, but it would be a tremendous boost if they could manage to take all three points at the Etihad.

As they have done in every other match this season, Everton must simply go into this one hoping to muster a magical moment or two in order to salvage at least a point against the top club in the Premier League.
