Unbelievable:R&B star to perform the super bowl halftime show

Usher to perform the super bowl halftime show

R&B star Usher is set to headline the 2024 Super Bowl half-time show, with “special guests” expected to appear.

The Texan-born musician will perform at Sunday’s National Football League (NFL)

championship game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

The eight-time Grammy winner previously announced that he will be roller skating during the show, and that

he will be joined on stage by “special guests” with whom he has previously collaborated.

Frenzied fans began speculating online about the guests’ identities, with big names like Alicia Keys, Lil Jon, Ludacris, Beyonce, and Justin Bieber in the mix.

Meanwhile, there was speculation that American superstar Taylor Swift would

make an appearance at the game to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce, who plays tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Kelce and the Chiefs, led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, are making their fourth Super Bowl appearance in five

years and are aiming to achieve the first back-to-back titles since Tom Brady’s New England Patriots in 2005.

Last month, photos of Kelce and Swift kissing went viral as the singer joined her boyfriend on the field to celebrate

the Chiefs’ victory over the Baltimore Ravens, with a final score of 17-10 at MT Bank Stadium in Baltimore.

Prior to the championship game, Usher hinted at details of his halftime

performance, suggesting that he has incorporated “two special elements” into his slot that embody “culture, quality, and creativity.”

The 45-year-old also revealed that a camera crew had been filming the entire

experience, from when he received the first call to when he walked off the prestigious stage.

Usher, whose latest album, Coming Home, was released on Friday, follows in

the footsteps of pop star Rihanna, who used her 2023 half-time show to announce her second pregnancy.

Usher’s debut self-titled album was released in 1994, so the performance will mark 30 years since then.

A decade later, his album Confessions reached number one on both sides of the

Atlantic, featuring some of his most popular songs, including Yeah!, Burn, and Confessions Part II.

He recently announced North American tour dates and stated that worldwide

dates are forthcoming, sparking speculation that he may be visiting the United Kingdom.
