Boubacar Kamara replacement chosen as Clement Lenglet gets new role – Aston Villa predicted XI vs Fulham

Aston Villa predicted lineup to take on Fulham in the Premier League, including who will replace the injured Boubacar Kamara.

On Saturday afternoon, Aston Villa will return to Premier League action when they visit Craven Cottage to play Fulham.

The Villans, who have lost their last two home games to Chelsea and Manchester United, are looking for a response and might reclaim their spot in the top four this weekend. Villa will be in control once more if Wolverhampton Wanderers, the local rivals, pull a favor and defeat Tottenham Hotspur. Of certainly, as long as they succeed personally.

Compared to last season, when they placed tenth, Fulham has had difficulty this year, albeit recently they have shown improvement. With only one loss in their previous five Premier League games, Marco Silva’s team is just five points off of the

upper portion. They, too, will be desperate to win on Saturday in order to improve their chances of making the playoffs.

Diego Carlos is expected to be out for several weeks, and Boubacar Kamara will miss the remainder of the season due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury. These are two devastating injury blows for Villa. Due to Ezri Konsa’s absence as well, Unai Emery has a difficult time making decisions in midfield and defense.

The following is our prediction for the Villans’ starting lineup for their 25th Premier League match of the season, which includes decisions in both of those categories as well as a crucial offensive option.

GK – Emi Martinez

Martinez will be disappointed with conceding five in his last two games. One of the best goalkeepers in the world, he’s likely to bounce back with a bang.

RB – Matty Cash

Cash has been inconsistent this season but is terrific when at his best. Ezri Konsa is an injured, too, giving Cash another opportunity to impress.

CB – Clement Lenglet

Lenglet will likely move into the slightly new role of right centre back due to Konsa and Diego Carlos missing out. It’s unusual for Emery to play a left-footer on the right but he doesn’t have much choice.

CB – Pau Torres

Pau is yet to feature since his return from injury but he’s been on the bench twice. His two weeks or so of full training should be enough to enable a start.

LB – Àlex Moreno

Moreno will be looking over his shoulder now Lucas Digne is back but he stays in the XI for now. An improvement is needed with his defensive positioning.

RM – Leon Bailey

The Jamaican is in excellent form and was recently rewarded with a new contract. He should play ahead of Moussa Diaby.

CM – John McGinn

McGinn is the man expected to come into the deep-lying midfield role in Boubacar Kamara’s absence, though Tim Iroegbunam could soon be chosen based on Emery’s comments.

CM – Douglas Luiz

Luiz has proven to be one of the best midfielders in the entire Premier League this campaign. Let’s see how he does without Kamara for the long-term.

LM – Jacob Ramsey

Ramsey impressed despite defeat to United as he was positive in possession and created several chances.

ST – Youri Tielemans

Albeit a newer position to the player, Tielemans doesn’t care as he often plays well in the shadow striker role.

ST – Ollie Watkins

Watkins has been absolutely on fire this season, contributing 11 goals and 14 assists in 24 Premier League games.
