‘OUTRAGEOUS’ £5 million man signed from Aston Villa blows manager away.

MANAGER BLOWN AWAY BY ‘OUTRAGEOUS’ £5M MAN HE SIGNED FORM ASTON VILLA

Former Aston Villa starlet Jaden Philogene, who signed for £5 million with Hull City, is seemingly one of the better acquisitions in recent memory. In midweek, one of the Championship’s rising talents showed off his “ridiculous ability” with an incredible rabona.

The “Dubious Goals Panel” rarely allows emotion to influence their decision-making. Even the saddest men in

football, though, would have been unable to refuse Jaden Philogene his

flowers when the Hull City talisman scored an incredible goal against

Rotherham United on Tuesday, albeit one that was slightly deflected.

Actually, Hull fans have become accustomed to seeing this kind of incredible, mind-blowing skill from a guy who played three Premier League games for Aston Villa before permanently relocating to Humberside last summer.

But this was something a touch unusual, even by Philogene’s standards.

Former Aston Villa starlet tearing the Championship apart

Preposterous. It’s absurd,” the shocked Liam Rosenior remarked to Yorkshire Live, praising the ‘outrageous’ talent of the England under-21 international.

We have been missing his ability for a very long time. The more games he plays, the better he will get.

With eight goals and five assists so far this season, Philogene has already won Championship Goal of the Month once, in December, when he scored an incredible backheel. But Rosenior is eager to emphasize not just the 22-year-old’s “showreel moments,” but also the grunt work he so voluntarily contributes.

Buy-back clause looks an inspired move

“It is not just his goal or the showreel moments,” the former Derby Couny coach adds. “It is his energy levels for the team. He has a real belief, he can be a top player. But the reason he can be a top player is because he works so hard on his game.

“He wants to do more, so we have to get him off the training pitch.”
Every time the 22-year-old on the field these days, Aston Villa’s choice to include a £15 million buy-back clause in the contract of their academy graduate seems more and more sound. Tan Kesler, vice-chairman of Hull, acknowledged this decision.
