Leeds United have said goodbye to another player from premier League Stint

It’s highly likely that Diego Llorente will extend his tenure at Roma beyond the 2023/24 season, as the possibility of a permanent departure from Leeds United appears significant. Leeds has administrative tasks to wrap up ahead of the summer transfer window concerning multiple players currently out on loan after the team’s relegation. Almost all of the players loaned out at the start of the 2023/24 season are not anticipated to return to Elland Road at the conclusion of this campaign.

Reports this week indicate that Roma is planning to revamp their defense in the coming months under new manager Daniele De Rossi. Diego Llorente is reportedly part of their restructuring plans, with strong indications that he will remain in the Italian capital beyond the summer. According to sources, Llorente, along with Kristensen, who is also on loan from Leeds, is likely to stay at Roma permanently. Additional reports suggest that Llorente’s move to Roma is nearly certain to be finalized.

With Robin Koch already committed to Eintracht Frankfurt and Luis Sinisterra joining Bournemouth for a reported £20 million, Llorente appears poised to join them in departing Elland Road permanently. The transfer fee for Llorente may not generate as much profit for Leeds compared to Sinisterra, given Llorente’s age (30). However, it could still provide a significant financial boost, estimated at around £4.25 million according to previous reports, regardless of the club’s division status next term.

Llorente’s departure is not expected to be accompanied by the same level of resentment as some other players from the loan contingent, as it was the club’s decision to move him on before relegation occured
