Thunder’s Chet Holmgren explains drive to be like LeBron James

Chet Holmgren opens up on what he admires the most about LeBron James

One of the best young players in the NBA right now is Chet Holmgren. The center for the Oklahoma City Thunder, who is

now ranked second on the rookie ladder, averages 16.7 points and 7.6 rebounds

per game. Even though Holmgren is only 21 years old, his constant confidence is

something that everyone recognizes about him. Just review his pre-draft

statement when he was asked who he believed to be the best NBA player.

“Myself in two months,” Holmgren said in 2022.

The 7-foot-2 big man’s attitude may have offended some, but it may also be interpreted as a sign that he thinks he

will one day rank among the greats. Indeed, Holmgren already looks up to

one of the greatest stars in the NBA right now. The Thunder center discussed

imitating LeBron James with the Oklahoman.

Joel Lorenzi reported that Holmgren stated, “I want to move like a gangster,

but I don’t even want to say this because it’d be taken the wrong way.” “I think

that guy moves like a gangster, kind of like LeBron.” He’s not around (expletive).

All of his people are with him. He takes care of his, they take care of theirs.

Additionally, they approach things correctly. In the world of social media

and ESPN, you never hear anything negative about them.

“It’s really vital to just watch that and attempt to move similarly.I don’t want to

detract from my concentration on the court by acting foolishly,” he continued.

Chet Holmgren is all about total concentration on the court, with no outside distractions. It’s a positive

indicator for the team already that the players have an idol who avoids

controversy. In the upcoming years, Holmgren is a young man to keep an eye

on because of his talent, physical gifts, and tremendous drive for success.
