were among the most penalized offensive teams last season, likely contributing significantly to their difficulties.

As demonstrated by the performance of other leading teams, penalties alone do not necessarily spell doom. Some teams have the capacity to overcome them, aided by their ability to sustain drives consistently, resulting in more opportunities on the field. However, the 2023 Jets offense clearly struggled to overcome penalties, evident from their low scoring output, ranking among the bottom 4.

Looking ahead to the next season, there’s potential for improvement. With quarterback Aaron Rodgers returning and the likelihood of adding offensive talent, there’s a chance for a turnaround.
