Peter Reid message to Premier League on behalf of Everton amid 10 -point appeal 

Peter Reid, an Everton legend, has conveyed a fresh message to the Premier League on behalf of the Toffees fanbase amid the ongoing discontent at Goodison Park. Everton supporters remain vocal in

expressing their frustration while awaiting the outcome of the club’s appeal against the initial 10-point deduction for breaching the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules.

Despite Everton’s appeal hearing concluding early in February, the independent commission has not yet announced its verdict. Reid has urged the Premier League to expedite the process

on behalf of all Evertonians. In a post on his personal X account on Thursday (22 February), he wrote: “Premier League. Any chance? Asking for one or two

Evertonians.” The delay in receiving the outcome of the appeal has left Reid, along with many other Everton supporters, frustrated. It seems unreasonable that almost a month after

the appeal hearing, the independent commission and Premier League are unable to provide an explanation for the delay.

The Toffees were unable to introduce any new evidence during this hearing, so reaching a decision should not be overly complex. However, for reasons unknown, Sean Dyche’s side has been left in the dark regarding any potential consequences that may arise in the coming days or weeks. A mere couple of points could significantly enhance Everton’s chances of surviving in the Premier League this season. While some pundits have suggested they are destined for relegation, an additional three or four points could completely alter their prospects.

Hopefully, supporters won’t have to endure an extended wait before the Premier League provides clarity on their decision, allowing Dyche to formulate his strategy to steer the Toffees clear of relegation. In the meantime, fans at Goodison Park will have to remain hopeful that no news signifies positive developments.
