Sad News : Aaron Rodgers tells Jet star acting like GM needs to’shut up!’

Jets star acting like the GM (not Aaron Rodgers) needs to’shut up!’ Host says

Doesn’t Sauce Gardner realize that the New York Jets can only have two decision-makers, Joe Douglas and quarterback Aaron Rodgers? WFAN’s Gregg Giannotti expressed frustration on

Thursday over Gardner’s recent roster recommendations on X, suggesting they aren’t helping the Jets. “I understand he’s having fun, but if I’m Joe Douglas, I’d be thinking, ‘Just be quiet!'” Giannotti

remarked via Audacy. He acknowledged the entertainment value but emphasized the need for discretion, cautioning against Gardner publicly sharing his preferences for the team.

In the past 24 hours, Gardner, who goes by the nickname “LeSauce,” expressed his desire to acquire wide receivers Calvin Ridley or Mike Evans during this offseason. On Wednesday night, he

stated, “I can’t go wrong with either one of them,” indicating a strong interest in either player. This declaration follows his previous tweets directed at Evans on February 19th, where he mentioned,

“You know what we talked about.” Andy Vasquez of NJ Advance Media highlighted the significance of Gardner’s statements, noting that he and running back Breece Hall had previously hinted

at the potential arrival of a high-profile quarterback to the Jets, which later manifested when Aaron Rodgers expressed his desire for a trade to the team over a month later.

Furthermore, Gardner suggested that wide receiver Tee Higgins might not be available, implying that Higgins could be considering staying with the Cincinnati

Bengals. Additionally, in response to a fan’s query about the team’s draft strategy, Gardner shared his thoughts early Thursday morning.

He suggested the need for an experienced wide receiver, likely implying once more his preference for Ridley or Evans.

Jets supporters might hesitate to heed a star player’s suggestions, especially considering Douglas’ efforts to

accommodate Rodgers by signing eight former Green Bay Packers teammates, including wide receivers Allen Lazard

and Randall Cobb, as well as offensive tackle Billy Turner. Despite these efforts, the team finished with a 7-10 record after Rodgers sustained an injury early in his tenure.
