“It’s logical” – President trying to ‘calm things down’ with Sunderland linked manager’s future

On February 19th, Sunderland sacked Michael Beale, eight weeks after appointing him as their new manager.

The Black Cats considered other alternatives before he arrived, such as Will Still of Stade de Reims. The manager disclosed that Sunderland had demonstrated “concrete interest” in him two months prior.

Due to Beale’s dismissal and his declaration that he would really like to come to England, the 31-year-old is once more being linked to Sunderland.

L’Equipe draws attention to Sunderland’s resolute interest since last December. They go on to say that the rumors about the English club reviving their interest and Still’s recent comments have put his future back in the spotlight.

The Ligue 1 team’s executives are reportedly attempting to “calm things down” around the manager who is connected to Sunderland. In response to Still’s admission that he would like to manage in England, Reims president Jean-Pierre Caillot has now spoken.

Talking about the future is reasonable when you’re young. Saying that he’s

aspirational and envisions himself leading an English club is only a sincere

statement. He stated, as cited by L’Equipe, “He has to be careful that his

message is not misinterpreted or misconstrued afterwards.

With Mike Dodds taking over as interim manager until the conclusion of the

season, Sunderland will have enough time to name Beale’s long-term replacement.

WP SportoweFakty reported earlier this week that Polish coach Marek Papszun,

who is now without A club would be willing to manage the Championship team.
