Breaking news: Sunderland AFC chance to grap an incredible coach who is open to joining Sunderland

Alex Neil ‘open’ to Sunderland return after Stoke sacking

Alex Neil is ‘open’ to a return to Sunderland as head coach, a report has claimed.
During periods of inactivity, snakes have been observed to try to make their way back to the den they have used in the past. Unrelatedly, Alex Neil, who is unemployed right now, wishes to return to Sunderland.
During the play-offs, Neil guided Sunderland out of League One, and everything appeared to be going great at that point.
But he then shockingly deserted the Black Cats, taking his assistant to manage
Sunderland against Norwich the same day and seeing Stoke play at Blackburn.
However, Alan Nixon claims that after being fired at Stoke earlier this season,
Neil is now “open” to returning to Sunderland.
Still, it probably says more about Neil’s desperation than it does about Sunderland.
As he left, he made it apparent that he was unhappy with the way the club handled transfers. That won’t alter, so if
Neil is genuinely “open” to returning, it will most likely be with the idea of using
the team to further his own profile once more while he awaits a better offer.
Neil gave the following explanation when he left Sunderland in August 2022:
“Being a manager has two aspects: what happens on and off the pitch.
“What transpired at Sunderland on the field was incredible. Credit is due to the players, staff, and fans.
“In order for me to perform to the best of my abilities, more conditions are
required, and they are more appropriate here at Stoke. It would be unfair of me to elaborate further.
What mattered most was ownership. Stoke provides you with everything you
need to succeed, both on and off the field.
Neil had a record at Stoke that was remarkably similar to Michael Beale’s
record at Sunderland, winning a third of his games and losing the other half,
despite seemingly having “everything he needed to succeed.”
