Mike Dodds expecting Sunderland star player to boost the team after his return from injury

‘Raring to go’ – Mike Dodds expecting Sunderland Jack Clarke injury boost

Sunderland head coach Mike Dodds does not expect Jack Clarke’s injury problem to keep him out for long.
Following his injury that kept him out of Sunderland’s loss to Swansea last week, Mike Dodds stated that Jack Clarke is “raring to go.”
Since joining Sunderland, Clarke has embodied the idea that “availability is the best ability.”
The 2-0 away victory at Huddersfield was the only game he missed the previous
season, and Saturday was the only one he has missed this season as well.
Given how infrequently Clarke misses practice, let alone actual games, he was actually taken aback that Clarke didn’t make the game.
“That’s what I’m being told,” Dodds responded when asked if a Monday reevaluation of Clarke’s injury was still the plan. “He is eager to get going.
He’s a strong young man. He hasn’t really missed much football since entering. We assumed he would be available because he never skips training, but for some reason that hasn’t occurred.”
After suffering three straight losses to Huddersfield, Birmingham, and Swansea, Sunderland now has three challenging games remaining against Norwich, Leicester, and Southampton.
