|Arsenal is keeping an eye on Brighton’s star player ahead of a potential summer transfer.
Arsenal are poised to pursue a new forward during the off-season to
diversify their attacking options. A notable criticism of Arsenal this season has been the inconsistent goal-scoring
performance of their strikers, with Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah collectively netting only nine league goals.
The club from north London is exploring various options to strengthen their
attacking lineup, with Ivan Toney among the players linked to a potential move to the Emirates Stadium. Toney was
reportedly Arsenal’s primary target for a forward position last month, but a transfer across the capital failed to materialize.
However, acquiring Toney wouldn’t come cheap, as Brighton would likely demand a fee of at least £100 million for
the 19-year-old, who has scored six league goals for the Seagulls this season. Given that Ferguson’s current contract at
the Amex Stadium extends until 2029, Brighton is not under any pressure to sell him during the upcoming summer transfer window.
