Injury-hit Pie suffers another setback, set to miss more on the sidelines

Injury-hit Pie suffers another setback, set to miss more than a month

A timeline for the former Cat’s return has become clearer.

Nathan Kreuger, the unfortunate big man for Collingwood, will be sidelined for a longer period of time this season after scans revealed a moderate-grade hamstring strain.

The 24-year-old pulled during Tuesday’s VFL scratch match at Punt Road against

Richmond, and Kreuger was immediately transported for scans.

This setback occurs after Kreuger suffered the injury near the close of his

2022 campaign and had shoulder surgery at the start of the 2023 season.

In his often interrupted career, Kreuger has only made nine AFL appearances

since making his senior debut for Geelong in 2021, scoring four goals in the process.

Following the conclusion of their two pre-season games, Collingwood will

shortly travel north to take on GWS in the opening round of the league.
