Sad News:Ronald Acuna junior is badly injured and will …

Ronald Acuña Jr., a Braves star, will undergo an MRI after suffering a meniscus injury.

The weekend began on a concerning note for Braves fans as Ronald Acuña Jr. was unexpectedly removed from the lineup before yesterday’s game. According to MLB.com’s Mark Bowman, Acuña is dealing with irritation around his meniscus and will undergo further testing on his right knee. While the team hopes Acuña will be ready for Opening Day, they are prioritizing caution, especially pending the results of the MRI.

Although a meniscus injury, even if torn, is not catastrophic, it could sideline Acuña for approximately 6-8 weeks in a worst-case scenario. Considering Acuña’s history of knee issues, particularly with his right knee, the Braves are exercising patience and won’t rush his recovery.

While there’s optimism for Acuña’s availability on Opening Day, the Braves may explore acquiring another outfielder as a precautionary measure in case the MRI reveals more serious concerns.
