Kirk Cousins’seriously considering’ signing with the Atlanta Falcons, 

The rumors circulating at last week’s NFL combine regarding Kirk Cousins and the Atlanta Falcons appear to have

gained significant traction. It’s now not just talk; there’s potential for action, with moving trucks possibly involved.

Initially, speculation linked Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields to the Falcons at the start of the combine.

However, by the week’s end, it was Kirk Cousins who emerged as the likely signal caller for Atlanta in the 2024 season.

According to Mike Florio of NBC Sports, Cousins is seriously contemplating relocating his family to Atlanta, indicating a potential agreement with the Falcons:

“We can’t disclose details at the moment, but we’re receiving highly credible indications that Cousins is strongly

considering moving his family to Atlanta. This suggests that he may be signing with the Falcons.”

The Falcons have long been seen as the primary alternative to the Minnesota Vikings for Cousins, who will become an

unrestricted free agent next Wednesday. This connection has a solid basis as Cousins’ wife, Julie, hails from nearby Alpharetta, Georgia, with her parents still residing there.

It appears that Cousins is on track to secure the Falcons’ quarterback position. However, the Vikings still have a window of opportunity to meet Cousins’ contract

demands and retain him in Minnesota. Cousins is seeking a substantial salary and an opportunity to compete for a Super Bowl title.

Considering the NFC North’s competitive strength in comparison to the NFC South, Cousins may find it more advantageous

to compete within a division featuring quarterbacks like Bryce Young, Baker Mayfield (potentially), and Derek Carr.
