Raptors Sign G League Standout Off OKC’s Roster

The Toronto Raptors have reportedly signed Jahmi’us Ramsey to a 10-day deal as he takes the final roster spot for the team
The last roster space has been occupied by the Toronto Raptors.
According to Shams Charania, Jahmi’us Ramsey will reportedly sign a 10-day contract to join the group. After a flurry of moves over the last 24 hours, he returns Toronto to having 15 roster places.
The 22-year-old Ramsey, who was selected by the Sacramento Kings in the second round of the 2020 NBA Draft, has played 30 games for the Thunder’s G League affiliate this season with the Oklahoma City Blues.
Ramsey, a 6-foot-3 guard, shoots 40.6% from three-point range on almost five three-point tries a game and averages 20.6 points, 3.6 assists, and 7.8 rebounds per game.
In 32 NBA games with the Kings between the 2020–21 and 2021–22 seasons, Ramsey never really settled into the league. Despite hitting 27% from three-point range, he only scored 3.1 points on average.
His development in the G League has made him a more interesting prospect if
his three-point shooting continues at the highest level.
Toronto had previously signed Justise Winslow, Mouhamadou Gueye, and DJ
Carton to 10-day contracts. Gueye and Carton were both promoted to two-way deals with the Raptors.
After this agreement, Ramsey will be able to sign one more 10-day contract with Toronto before the Raptors will need to sign him for the rest of the season.
To make room for Gueye, Toronto had earlier on Monday dismissed Markquis Nowell from his two-way deal.
Ramsey is probably going to be available for Toronto on Tuesday when the Raptors play the New Orleans Pelicans off the bench.
