Danilo, Elanga, Awoniyi – Nottingham Forest predicted XI as Nuno faces big Brighton dilemma

Head coach Nuno Espirito Santo faces challenging decisions as he selects his Nottingham Forest squad for their upcoming match against Brighton and Hove Albion this weekend.

The Reds will travel to the south coast on Sunday following three consecutive defeats across all competitions. They currently occupy the 17th spot in the

Premier League standings, holding a four-point lead over Luton Town, who are third from bottom, with 11 games remaining.

In the previous match against Liverpool, Nuno made significant choices regarding his starting lineup. He opted for the

center-back pairing of Andrew Omobamidele and Murillo, while striker Taiwo Awoniyi began on the bench.

Although their strategy nearly paid off, missed opportunities proved costly, and Forest were left frustrated by a controversial decision from referee Paul Tierney, allowing the visitors to score a late winner.

Forest will be hopeful that midfielder Nicolas Dominguez’s injury sustained in the 1-0 defeat is not serious. Additionally, Nuno may receive a boost with the

potential returns of defender Willy Boly and forward Chris Wood, who could make their comebacks against Brighton. Gio Reyna is also expected to be fit after a minor injury sidelined him last weekend.

It remains uncertain whether Boly and Wood will be fit to start. Here’s a glimpse of how we anticipate Forest might line up at the Amex Stadium.

Neco Williams is currently enjoying a period of excellent form. Nottingham Forest are facing a shortage of options at full-back, with Ola Aina, Gonzalo Montiel, and Nuno Tavares all sidelined. However, even if his competitors for a starting position were available, they would have a difficult task displacing the Welshman from the lineup given his current performance level.

Neco Williams’ outstanding performance against Liverpool fully vindicated Nuno’s decision to include him in the lineup. It

wouldn’t be surprising if he retains his spot on Sunday, although Nuno might consider bringing back Felipe or opting to start Boly, provided he is sufficiently fit.Similar to Omobamidele, Murillo

impressed in the previous match. Despite their youth and limited experience, both players still have room for growth and development. Nevertheless, their partnership shows great potential and holds promise for the future.

Tavares’ injury will probably lead to an extended spell in the lineup for Harry Toffolo. It appears improbable that Nuno will opt to use Moussa Niakhate in that role again, especially considering the outcome against Aston Villa.
