Sean Dyche talks future of his eight players who are out of contract

Sean Dyche has reassured that Everton’s players whose contracts are expiring have not been left uncertain about their future. Six members of the squad,

including captain Seamus Coleman, Idrissa Gana Gueye, Ashley Young, Andre Gomes, Dele, and Andy Lonergan, have deals ending at the season’s close.

Additionally, loan spells for Jack Harrison and Arnaut Danjuma from Leeds United and Villarreal, respectively, are also concluding.

Despite being 38 years old, Young has expressed his desire to continue playing beyond this season. Former manager

Frank Lampard stated that Coleman, if feeling he contributes, would always prefer to stay at Goodison Park.

With 11 Premier League games remaining, Everton’s main focus is avoiding relegation. However, decisions

regarding next season need to be made. Dyche emphasized that director of football Kevin Thelwell is in communication with players’ agents.

Dyche stated, “It’s ongoing. Me and Kev are in open dialogue. Not just me, Kev is with the agents. The players know where it is. It’s an ongoing situation. With all of

them, whether it’s young players we’re looking at to safeguard the club’s future or older players to address immediate needs.”

He continued, “Everyone involved is aware because Kev has established open lines of communication.”
