|Dianna Russini Reveals a shocking, terrible and bad message about Aaron Rodgers and jets
In early 2024, Dianna Russini and Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic revealed that sources within the New York Jets described the team as being in disarray,
stating that “something has to change.” The report, based on conversations with 30 sources, depicted a scenario of excuses, a distrustful head coach, an
inadequately prepared offensive coordinator, and an organizational fixation on the quarterback that didn’t sit well with some teammates.
During a recent appearance on the Pardon My Take podcast, Russini
reaffirmed her reporting, suggesting that Jets fans who refuse to accept it are “in denial.” She emphasized the dire state of
the team’s culture, dismissing the notion that it’s not as bad as portrayed. Russini’s reporting highlighted Jets players’ dissatisfaction with head coach Robert
Saleh’s favoritism towards Rodgers. Additionally, backup quarterback Zach Wilson felt neglected following his injury, despite Rodgers’ purported
admiration for him. Offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett’s struggles to adapt after Rodgers’ injury exacerbated tensions, with their
relationship characterized more as peers than coach and player. Hackett’s hiring and tenure were reportedly influenced solely by his connection with Rodgers,
who, despite the team’s dysfunction, expressed a desire to play for several more years. However, if the Jets fail to make the playoffs, both the general
manager and the coach are likely to be fired, putting Rodgers, who would be 41 by the end of the next season, at risk of losing his job as well.
