Breaking:Proposed Pitch Secures Falcons Franchise QB from Bears and No. 9 Pick

Proposed pitch lands Falcons franchise quarterback from the Bears and No. 9 pick.

The Atlanta Falcons are in search of their franchise quarterback this offseason, and the Chicago Bears could assist them

in this quest. Justin Fields, drafted as the No. 11 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, hails from Kennesaw, Georgia. Returning to

his home state, Fields could shine for a Falcons team brimming with talent and poised to contend, provided they secure a reliable quarterback.

Although the Falcons possess the No. 8 pick in the draft, top quarterback prospects like Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, and Drake Maye are anticipated

to be selected before their turn. Acquiring Fields via trade might be the most feasible solution for the Falcons. In a trade scenario suggested by Alyssa

Barbieri of Bears Wire, the Falcons would acquire Fields along with the No. 9 pick in exchange for their No. 8 pick and the No. 43 pick.

Barbieri emphasizes the importance of including a swap of first-round picks in any potential deal from the Bears’

perspective. With the Falcons potentially securing their quarterback, they could use their first-round selection to target a wide receiver, a position of interest for the Bears.

“Include a high second-round pick in the deal, especially since Chicago traded away their original second-round pick

for Montez Sweat, and this trade would become even more favorable. Perhaps Poles could negotiate to receive a late-

round pick as part of the trade package. Essentially, this deal would exchange a second-round pick for Fields. Swapping the No. 8 pick for No. 9 wouldn’t

significantly alter the Falcons’ draft plans, while the Bears would gain an additional second-round pick to acquire another valuable player in a deep draft class.

Given the hype surrounding Williams as a once-in-a-generation quarterback

prospect and the fact that the Chicago Bears hold the No. 1 pick, Fields could become available. The Atlanta Falcons

emerge as the perfect destination for him, aligning with their team timeline and offering a dynamic dual-threat option.

According to Josh Schrock of NBC Sports Chicago, the Falcons have reached out to the Bears regarding Fields.”

According to a league source cited by NBC Sports Chicago, the Falcons have initiated discussions with the Bears regarding Fields. While the extent of

these talks remains unclear, there’s anticipation that they may resume this week during the NFL Combine in Indianapolis.

Although Fields has faced challenges in the league, the Falcons may have limited options unless they’re willing to offer Kirk Cousins a substantial contract this offseason. If Fields realizes his potential

as a dual-threat quarterback capable of excelling in both passing and running, he could be an ideal fit for a team boasting talents like Bijan Robinson, Kyle Pitts, and others.

During a press conference at the NFL Combine, Falcons general manager Terry Fontenot emphasized the importance of

finding the right quarterback while also focusing on overall roster improvement for the upcoming season. Fontenot stated, “We’ve got to get it right… We’re

going to keep all options open—free agency, trade, draft—and we’re working through all those things simultaneously.”

While there’s no guarantee that the Falcons can help Fields reach his full

potential, pursuing this opportunity appears to be a calculated risk. In the proposed trade outlined by Barbieri,

Atlanta would not be sacrificing much, allowing them to address a need just one pick after their original spot.
