Done deal:Jets has completed a very fantastic signing in the club history

Jets agree to terms with DT Leki Fotu

The Jets have signed their second defensive tackle of the offseason.

The Jets have agreed to terms with former Arizona Cardinals defensive tackle Leki Fotu per Connor Hughes of SNY.

With his contract agreement, Fotu becomes the second defensive tackle to sign with the Jets. Near the end of the first day of the authorized tampering period, former 49ers player Javon Kinlaw reached an agreement with the team.

From a quantity standpoint, the Jets need defensive tackle. The Jets should expect top-notch play at the position with Quinnen Williams on the roster. Simply put, practically every other defensive tackle on the team was set to enter free agency. The Jets require personnel in that position.

Al Woods, who was mostly a run stopper prior to sustaining a season-ending injury in an October victory over the

Giants, is expected to be replaced by Fotu.

He played his whole four-year career in Arizona after being selected by the

Cardinals in the fourth round of the 2020 draft.
