So sad :The Green Bay Packers miss out on key free agents.

The Green Bay Packers miss out on key free agents.

The Green Bay Packers have been surprisingly active in the 2024 free agency period, securing early signings

like Xavier McKinney and Josh Jacobs, while also retaining AJ Dillon and Keisean Nixon. However, as the free agency period progresses, the Packers

have slowed down in their activity, particularly in addressing positions like safety, cornerback, and most notably, linebacker.

Although the Packers still have 2022 first-round pick Quay Walker on the roster, who has shown potential as a starting

linebacker but has struggled with consistency, the rest of the linebacker corps lacks experience and pedigree. As

quality linebackers are being signed by other teams, the Packers are facing challenges in filling these gaps in their roster.

Jerome Baker, drafted in the third round in 2018 by the Miami Dolphins,

showcased strong performances throughout his initial six-year tenure with the team. Following his entry into

free agency at the age of 27, Baker inked a one-year contract worth $7 million with the Seattle Seahawks.
