Steelers: Kenny Pickett’s heartwarming farewell message for Pittsburgh after Eagles trade

Former Pittsburgh QB Kenny Pickett shared a heartfelt message with fans.

With Russell Wilson and Justin Fields now in the Pittsburgh Steelers’ quarterback room, head coach Mike

Tomlin’s squad has completely changed. Former quarterback Kenny Pickett of the

Steelers, who is currently in Philadelphia, recently revealed his

thoughts on his reported grudge with the team.

The news that Fields has been greeted with open arms by new starting

quarterback Russell Wilson has also given Steelers fans hope.

Pickett sent a statement on Instagram on Sunday that will definitely make Pittsburgh supporters feel something.

Pickett’s Detailed Farewell Message

The former University of Pittsburgh star said that the Steel City changed his life in a post on Instagram. Pickett had plenty of exciting moments with the franchise but ultimately did live up to the team’s championship winning expectations. The new Eagles signal caller added that he’s been rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles since he was a kid and is excited about his new career stop.

The emphasis now seems to be on the Detroit 2024 NFL Draft as Coach Tomlin is scheduled to open training camp later this year with Wilson as the expected starting quarterback. Pittsburgh plans to make improvements at center, cornerback, and offensive line, among other important positions. Wilson and Fields might potentially add another weapon to Coach Tomlin’s arsenal in the passing game.

This past weekend saw the finalization of the Steelers’ draft positions. Thanks to the Pickett deal, the team now owns an additional third round pick (#98 overall) and will select 20th in the first round.
