Sad news : Cheifs Head Coach send a terrible warning to his player

Cheifs Head Coach send a strong warning to a super bowl champion.

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid’s extensive NFL experience lends

weight to his insights into the game. However, some of his advice may initially sound peculiar. This was the

case when he once imparted a unique piece of wisdom to former Chiefs punter Dustin Colquitt: “Don’t lose your butt.”

In an article for The Athletic, Josh Kendall emphasized the significance of the posterior when evaluating NFL

players and prospects. Colquitt, interviewed by Kendall for the article, elaborated on the valuable advice Reid

shared during one of his end-of-season exit interviews after Colquitt’s 15-year tenure as a Kansas City punter.

During his end-of-season exit interviews with Kansas City head coach Andy Reid, former NFL punter Dustin Colquitt

recalled that the discussions were generally uneventful, except for one memorable piece of advice.

Reid would tell him, “You went to the Pro Bowl, and we don’t have much to say to you. But don’t lose your butt. Punters have to have big butts. As soon as you

start to look like you’re going downhill from a physique standpoint, you’re out of here. Keep that ass going.”

This nugget of wisdom is something new Chiefs punter Matt Araiza should take note of if he hopes to remain with the team.

While the signing of veteran wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown to a one-year, $7 million deal (worth a maximum of $11 million) on March 18

fills a significant offensive need for Kansas City, it doesn’t address all of their receiving issues.

The Chiefs still require a consistently effective and physically imposing X-receiver. It’s unlikely that such a player

exists in the remaining free agency market, so the team may need to address this need through the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft.

Prospects such as Brian Thomas Jr. (6-foot-3, 209 pounds) and Adonai Mitchell (6-foot-2, 205 pounds) are potential Day 1 draft targets who could fit the role of an X-receiver in the Kansas City Chiefs’ offense.

However, the depth of this year’s receiver draft class suggests that the Chiefs might find a long-term solution at X-receiver without needing to invest first-round draft capital.

Regardless of how they address the position, there should be an opportunity

in the draft for Kansas City to address one of its most significant remaining roster needs.

Currently, the Chiefs’ receiving corps includes Marquise Brown, Rashee Rice, Kadarius Toney, Skyy Moore, Justin

Watson, Montrell Washington, Cornell Powell, Justyn Ross, Shi Smith, Anthony Miller, and Jacob Copeland.

Speaking at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine, Chiefs general manager Brett

Veach was asked about his assessment of the team’s wide receiver room since the trade of Tyreek Hill in March 2022.

Veach explained on February 27 that the team is always looking to improve across

all positions, including receiver, offensive line, defensive line, and defensive backs. The Chiefs prioritize

roster depth and aim to acquire the best players available through their unique evaluation process, which is continually refined and adjusted.

Once more, in the context of the league’s extensive 20-game season, which

resembles a marathon, it’s imperative to approach every position with the understanding that depth is crucial.

Given the grueling nature of the season, injuries are inevitable, so it’s not about if players will go down, but when.
