Leeds star Willy Gnonto reveals shocking thing Coach Daniel Farke Told him

Willy Gnonto has highlighted the training methods implemented by Daniel

Farke at Leeds United, expressing his appreciation for them as a player.

Following a promising debut season in the Premier League with Leeds, Gnonto faced a period of waiting for

opportunities this season, but has recently shown significant improvement. Initially challenged by the strong performances of Dan James and

Crysencio Summerville, Gnonto also grappled with lingering effects from past events, impacting his confidence.

During moments of struggle, such as the FA Cup match against Plymouth Argyle in January, Gnonto experienced a dip in form. However, a week later, his decisive

goal against Bristol City served as a turning point, reigniting his season. Since then, including that crucial game,

he has scored six goals in nine league appearances and appears to have regained his peak form.

In the recent episode of the Official Leeds United Podcast, Willy Gnonto discussed his resurgence in form and the factors contributing to his regained confidence.

The 20-year-old credited his improved performance partly to the coaching

approach of manager Daniel Farke. Gnonto highlighted Farke’s balanced feedback, noting that while Farke is

quick to point out areas for improvement, he also acknowledges and praises Gnonto’s strengths when warranted.

Gnonto remarked, “He is quite fair because there have been many moments this season where I haven’t been at the

top, and he was there telling me, not that I needed him to because I expect a lot of myself.”

However, even during challenging times, Farke consistently expressed his

unwavering belief in Gnonto throughout this season, and it’s gratifying to witness his recent resurgence.

Farke has always regarded Gnonto as a pivotal player and is committed to

ensuring the club secures his services with a new contract as soon as possible.

Although there were indications in January that a deal was close, there has been no official announcement yet.

Nevertheless, according to transfer expert Graeme Bailey, terms for Gnonto’s new contract are nearly finalized, suggesting that a positive outcome is on

the horizon. Hopefully, there will be encouraging developments regarding his contract situation in the coming days.
