Breaking:Insider reveals Leeds plans to sign a £25m player in regards to premier return

Insider reveals Leeds plans to sign a £25m player in regards to premier return.

Carlton Palmer believes that Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley would be an

excellent addition to Leeds United, amidst reports of the club considering a move for him.

According to Palmer, Celtic rejected a £10 million offer for the Denmark international, deeming it insufficient. It

has been rumored that Celtic would demand £25 million to part ways with O’Riley.

“Leeds United are one of several clubs interested in Celtic’s midfielder Matt O’Riley,” Palmer told Football League World. “Leeds were rumored to have

made multiple bids for O’Riley in the summer, reportedly around £10 million, all of which Celtic rejected.”

O’Riley’s performances have attracted attention both domestically and internationally. Atletico Madrid’s £10

million bid in January was also rebuffed, while other clubs like Brentford and Brighton are monitoring his situation.

Despite Celtic’s reluctance to let him go, Palmer acknowledges O’Riley’s potential as a valuable asset for Leeds, especially if

they secure promotion to the Premier League. However, the hefty price tag of £25 million might pose a challenge for

Leeds, but at 23 years old, O’Riley could prove to be a worthwhile investment for the club if they reach the Premier League.

“He would be an excellent addition if they could secure his services, but I expect Celtic will be reluctant to part ways with him.”

Leeds United may need to consider alternatives to O’Riley

While O’Riley undoubtedly possesses talent, Leeds must explore alternative options due to the uncertainties surrounding his potential transfer.

While his arrival could enhance their midfield creativity, relying solely on him might not be wise.

Furthermore, the 23-year-old may not be inclined to join a newly promoted team whose primary objective initially would be to avoid relegation.

Leeds should explore alternative midfield options to bolster their squad for the Premier League.

While O’Riley has impressed during his time at Celtic, his willingness and suitability for the challenges of joining a newly promoted team may be questionable.

The Whites should evaluate various transfer targets who are not only capable but also willing to contribute effectively to their objectives in the top flight.

This approach ensures that the club has contingency plans in place, and it remains to be seen what strategies Daniel Farke has in mind.
