At owners meetings, Robert Saleh and Woody Johnson got into a heated argument.

During the NFL owners meetings, the New York Jets found themselves embroiled in a bit of drama, as per a recent claim.

Colleen Wolfe of NFL Media, speaking on “Around The NFL,” referenced a “very

reliable source” who alleged that Jets owner Woody Johnson and head coach Robert Saleh engaged in a “very heated conversation.” This exchange reportedly

occurred on Sunday night and was described as “super awkward,” although the specifics of their discussion remain unclear.

While it’s possible that this incident may not signify anything significant, it’s certainly not ideal for an owner and

head coach to be involved in a heated discussion, especially in a setting where others could potentially overhear or observe them. This situation is

particularly intriguing given the speculation surrounding Saleh’s job status last season, although he ultimately remained with the team for another year.

The Jets had a disappointing 2023 season, finishing with a 7-10 record after Aaron Rodgers sustained an injury in the season opener. Johnson openly

expressed dissatisfaction with certain aspects of the team’s performance, indicating that the coaching staff will face heightened scrutiny heading into the 2024 season.
