Sad News: So sad to say goodbye as Falcons Wide Receiver is leaving

So sad to say goodbye as Falcons Wide Receiver is leaving

After a three-year break, former Falcons head coach Dan Quinn is back in action, taking over from Ron Rivera in Washington to lead the Commanders into a new era. With the No. 2 overall pick, Quinn and Adam Peters are poised to

secure either Jayden Daniels or Drake Maye as the future quarterback. Quinn is leveraging his previous connections to assemble the roster, with Dorance

Armstrong transferring from Dallas and a few old acquaintances following suit. Dante Fowler, who joined the Falcons before the 2020 season, has followed

Quinn from Atlanta to Dallas and now to Washington. Additionally, Olamide Zaccheaus is set to join the Commanders, as reported by Tom Pelissero.

Zaccheaus has built a solid career path despite entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent. Spending his initial four seasons with the Falcons, including two under Dan Quinn, he gradually increased

his role each year. His breakout came in the 2022 season, where he recorded 40 receptions for 533 yards and three touchdowns.

Last offseason, Zaccheaus joined the Eagles but had limited opportunities, making only 10 receptions while playing behind A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.

Now, in Washington, he finds himself in a similar position, backing up Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson in Kliff Kingsbury’s offensive scheme.

The new Commanders team boasts several familiar faces from Zaccheaus’s time with the Falcons.
