Breaking:Leeds United Vs Hull City match official have been announced

The match officials for Leeds United’s upcoming Sky Bet Championship encounter against Hull City have been announced, with Josh Smith appointed as the referee for the fixture at Elland Road.

This match marks Smith’s 32nd of a busy campaign, during which he has officiated various competitions including the Premier League, Championship, League One, FA Cup, and Carabao Cup fixtures.

Leeds United have had a mixed record in the four games where Smith has been the referee, securing two victories, one draw, and one defeat.

Based in Peterborough, Smith first officiated a Leeds United match during the 3-1 FA Cup triumph away at Accrington Stanley last season, followed by the season opener against Cardiff City.

He then oversaw Leeds’ 2-1 home win against Plymouth Argyle, and most recently, the Boxing Day defeat away at Preston North End.

While Smith hasn’t officiated any Hull City fixtures this season, he has been in charge of six games involving the Tigers

in previous years. Hull City recorded three wins, one draw, and two defeats in those encounters.

In his last assignment, Smith refereed a significant Championship clash at Loftus Road, where QPR secured a late victory against Birmingham City in the battle for survival.
