Sad News am leaving : falcons top quarterback has terminated his contract on mutual negotiation

The approaching 2024 NFL Draft, scheduled to kick off on April 25, is notable for its lack of a standout running back prospect, a departure from the

previous year’s draft. Analysts anticipate that no running backs will be chosen in the first round this time around.

However, this shift isn’t necessarily unfavorable, as teams may discover hidden gems at the running back

position later in the draft. Here are three running backs projected to be drafted after the first two rounds who could prove to be steals:

One of the standout performers in the 2024 class, this prospect expected to be selected on Day 3 enters the NFL with an

impressive track record. Ali boasts two seasons with over 1,300 yards from scrimmage, despite facing injury setbacks in 2022. In 2023, he showcased

his explosive running style by accumulating 1,348 total yards and scoring 16 touchdowns for the Thundering Herd.

Ali’s peak season occurred in 2021 when he tied current Atlanta Falcons running

back Tyler Allgeier for the most rushing touchdowns in the nation (23) while amassing 1,735 all-purpose yards.

Despite suffering a biceps tendon rupture during Senior Bowl practice,

causing him to miss the game and the NFL Scouting Combine, Ali’s draft stock remains unaffected. He has garnered

interest from multiple teams, including playoff contenders like the Chiefs, Ravens, and Cowboys, securing top-30 visits with them.

While Ali’s injury history may raise some concerns, the risk associated with selecting him isn’t as significant considering the draft capital required to

acquire him. Should Kansas City opt to draft him, Ali would be well-suited to fill the void left by departed free agent RB Jerick McKinnon.

Isaiah Davis, South Dakota State

Height: 6 feet

Weight: 218 pounds

Despite playing for FCS powerhouse South Dakota State, Davis possesses the physical attributes and skills necessary

to excel as a primary running back in the NFL. Named the 2023 Missouri Valley Football Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Year, Davis compiled an

impressive four-year career with the Jackrabbits, rushing for 4,552 yards and 50 touchdowns on 677 carries while only fumbling three times.

According to Pro Football Focus, Davis emerged as the top-graded running back in the FCS last season, boasting an impressive grade of 94.4. His

performance metrics compared to other 2024 running back prospects are exceptional. In a recent article by PFF’s Mason Cameron highlighting the

standout attributes of running backs in the class, Davis achieved the highest grades in outside zone, power, and goal-to-go rushing categories. Cameron noted

that Davis converted first downs or touchdowns on over 29.7% of his outside zone attempts and an impressive 54.7% of his power runs.

Tyrone Tracy Jr., Purdue

Height: 5 feet 11 inches

Weight: 209 pounds

Tracy stands out as one of the draft’s most intriguing prospects, regardless of position. Beginning his collegiate career

at Iowa as a wide receiver for four seasons, Tracy transferred to Purdue before the 2022 season. Although he only managed 336 yards from scrimmage in

his debut season with the Boilermakers, Tracy experienced a breakout year in 2023 after Head Coach Ryan Walters transitioned him to running back.

During the previous season, Tracy delivered a strong performance, tallying 716 yards and eight touchdowns on an

impressive average of 6.3 yards per carry across 11 games. Notably, he displayed his abilities in both receiving and pass protection.

Transitioning to the running back position, Tracy continued to excel,

demonstrating his versatility and athleticism. At the NFL Scouting Combine, he showcased one of the

standout performances overall. Among participating running backs, Tracy ranked first in the three-cone drill (clocking in at 6.81 seconds), second in

both the 20-yard shuttle (4.06 seconds) and vertical jump (40 inches), and eighth in the 40-yard dash (with a time of 4.48 seconds).

With his sturdy physique and well-rounded skill set, Tracy has the potential to make an immediate impact in a

rotational capacity in the NFL, with the possibility of evolving into a primary ball carrier.
