Very Bad News:Roberto De Zerbi comfirms Star player season is over as he his injury is worse than expected

Roberto De Zerbi comfirms Star player season is over as he his injury is worse than expected.

Brighton is hopeful that Scottish midfielder Billy Gilmour will make a comeback before the conclusion of the Premier League season.

Seagulls manager Roberto De Zerbi mentioned ahead of his team’s match against Liverpool that the 22-year-old

had returned from international duty with a knee injury and indicated that he would be sidelined for several weeks.

“Unfortunately, Billy Gilmour won’t be available for quite some time,” stated the Italian coach.

With the opening match of Euro 2024 just over two months away, Gilmour raised concerns among Scotland supporters when he shared a photo of

himself in front of his television wearing a knee brace while preparing to watch his club teammates play at Anfield on Sunday.

Brighton still has nine league matches remaining, with their next game scheduled for Wednesday against

Brentford. Club medical staff are reportedly optimistic about Gilmour’s recovery and are hopeful that he will be

able to return before the end of the season, ensuring his availability for the Euros with his national team.

Gilmour played 67 minutes in Scotland’s 4-0 loss to the Netherlands before being

substituted in the 69th minute of last Tuesday’s 1-0 defeat against Northern Ireland. Despite the setbacks, the

midfielder has earned 25 caps since his debut shortly before the 2021 Euros and has started seven of Scotland’s last nine matches.

Steve Clarke’s team has two friendlies against Gibraltar and Finland on June 3

and 7, respectively, before commencing their tournament campaign against hosts Germany in Munich on June 14.
