Preview of the Panthers vs. Sea Eagles game.

After suffering consecutive losses in recent weeks, the Sea Eagles will aim to

regain their form against the Panthers, who are currently one of the top-performing teams in the competition.

In their Round 4 match against the Dragons, Manly showed only glimpses of their impressive attacking prowess from

the first three weeks. Tom Trbojevic made uncharacteristic errors, and Luke Brooks struggled to make an impact.

In contrast, the Panthers had a smooth outing, scoring two tries in each half to defeat the Roosters, despite missing star

halfback Nathan Cleary. Fullback Dylan Edwards stepped up with an outstanding performance, including a memorable individual try.

Although Penrith has historically won less than half of their visits to 4 Pines Park, they have enjoyed recent success there, winning four consecutive matches.

The Sea Eagles have not beaten the Panthers in their last nine encounters, dating back to the 2018 season.

Sea Eagles: Coach Anthony Seibold maintains a consistent lineup despite the team’s recent back-to-back losses. Daly Cherry-Evans is set to make history as the club’s all-time appearance record holder, surpassing Cliff Lyons with his 310th game for Manly. Prop Matt Lodge returns to team training after recovering from an ACL injury last season and is expected to be available for selection in the upcoming weeks.

Panthers: James Fisher-Harris, the Golden Boot winner, returns from injury to start in the front row alongside Moses Leota. Mavrik Geyer makes way for Fisher-Harris after his debut last week. Brad Schneider retains his position at No.7 following a strong club debut in the previous match.

Stat attack:

– The Sea Eagles have won four of their last six games at 4 Pines Park.

– The Panthers have won their last eight encounters against Manly.

– Sea Eagles center Tolutau Koula has scored three tries in his last two appearances at 4 Pines Park.

– Panthers winger Sunia Turuva has scored 11 tries in his last eight games.
